Protective awnings

Description

People are not allowed to stay in the inner area of the lift table according to safety requirements. To avoid personal injury, it is recommended that such equipment be fitted with special protective awnings that make it difficult to access the space under the cargo platform.

There are three options of protective awnings. The simplest is a curtain made of rolled polyvinyl chloride (PVC). In this case, a rotary mechanism is located on the lower edge of the cargo platform, due to which the material is rolled up when the height decreases. This option does not provide full protection from access to the internal parts of the lift and rather plays the role of decoration. The curtain works in much the same way. The difference is that during the platform lowering, the curtain does not roll up, but is folded. However, both options provide sufficient compactness of protection against unauthorized access of people to the internal components of the lift table, and the folding curtain prevents water and dust from entering the space under the cargo platform.

Metal nets are considered the most reliable awning. They also roll up with a rotary mechanism but provide a greater level of protection. Firstly, it is difficult to move such a grid to the side, thereby gaining access to the internal parts of the lift. Secondly, protection in this configuration will be resistant even to force actions.
