Selective pallet racks

Description

The main components of a pallet rack are vertical struts (upright frames) and horizontal cross beams (traverses). As with most storage systems, the strut of the selective pallet rack is a supporting element for two adjacent sections simultaneously. Therefore, the longer the row, the cheaper the structure cost per storage space.

Perforation along the entire height of the strut at a pitch of 50 mm allows you to optimize the height of the rack for your needs, as well as modify the configuration in the future. If the nature of the business does not allow for any future changes in pallet height, you can safely calculate the strut height based on the minimum and sufficient clearances, thus optimizing the cost of the design.

The wide range of struts and traverses allows even better adaptation to the required cargo without overpaying for excessive metal consumption and makes it possible to adapt the geometry of the racking system to the premises in which it is used. In our arsenal, there are struts with a profile width from 70 to 140 mm and traverses from 60x40 to 160x50 mm. High-quality Ukrainian and European metal, combined with modern production guarantee a reliable product that can withstand heavy loads.

The standard length of the traverse for the installation of three Euro pallets is 2 700 mm; it is the most economically advantageous size. The total length of the pallets is 2 400 mm, the remaining 300 mm are evenly distributed for safe manoeuvring of warehouse equipment. Accordingly, for the placement of two and four Euro pallets, the size of the traverse will be 1800 and 3600 mm. If the pallet has a non-standard size, it is possible to make a traverse of a different length at a pitch of 10 mm without any major difficulties.

There are two basic coating types for pallet racks: galvanized steel and polymer powder coating. In this case, the upright frames can be of two types, and the traverses are supplied exclusively with powder coating. The quality of the rack coating has a direct impact on the service life of the equipment. We pay great attention to this aspect at our plant. Strict incoming inspection of paint and varnish materials and well-established production processes guarantee the highest quality of the coating.

Maintenance of high-rise racks loaded with tens of tons of products is a high-risk job. One wrong move of a forklift or reach truck can cause a collapse of a row of racks or even an entire warehouse (a domino effect). That is why it is a good idea to provide for safety elements. Specially designed corner and front protection of struts and upright frame ends will increase the safety of using the racking system, save money on repairs, and in some cases help to avoid tragic situations.
