Electric pedestrian trolleys

Description

Electric trolleys make the process of moving palletized goods easier. At intensive work with a hydraulic pallet jack, the productivity of storekeepers is greatly reduced towards the end of the shift; this is due to serious physical efforts made to work. Electric trolleys, on the other hand, increase work efficiency by allowing the warehouse or shop staff to focus more effort on correct counting and placing the goods.

The AC drive motor provides economical operation: depending on the model and the battery capacity used, non-stop use can last up to 8 hours. A wide aisle is not required for proper operation, making it suitable for use inside retail outlets with racks (e.g. supermarkets, wholesale and retail depots).

The electric pallet jacks are highly manoeuvrable and have a compact size, which makes them easy to store outside working hours. They are often used in indoor warehouses, but can also be used outdoors when there is no precipitation and the ground is sufficiently flat. This is ideal for high turnover companies where the hydraulic units are not sufficiently efficient.

The electric trolley can be fitted with a lead-acid, lithium-ion or gel battery. The first option is the most affordable in terms of cost. Lead-acid batteries are available in a wide range of models, allowing you to select the optimum energy accumulator for your specific operating conditions. The battery can be charged with AC or DC without affecting the battery service life. They have a design life of 6-8 years with no loss of capacity (with correct maintenance). However, they are more difficult to use than their lithium-ion and gel analogues. It will be necessary to add water periodically and monitor electrolyte density. Failure to do so may result in battery boiling, which is detrimental to the energy capacity and life of the battery. Besides, the presence of lead does not allow the use of these batteries in sanitary zones.

The lithium-ion batteries hold on average 30% less electricity than their lead-acid analogues. This allows for 24/7 continuous operation. These batteries are easy to change if you have a battery compartment on the side of your electric pallet jack. We recommend buying a changeable battery for fully continuous operation. Li-ion batteries are harmless, they do not emit any harmful and toxic substances and are sufficiently resistant to low temperatures. This variant is suitable where acid batteries are not permitted, e.g. in pharmaceutical and food warehouses. You can charge them from a conventional 220V socket; a full charge takes just 2.5 hours.
