Their purpose is the storage of piece and small-piece goods, raw materials, accessories, fasteners, etc. They differ in significantly more affordable cost compared to metal products (including mesh). Besides, chipboard shelves are often used in production and in retail premises.

Description
Shelves made of chipboard are slabs with a thickness of 10 to 38 millimetres. The length and width depend on the requirements for the design of the rack, in particular, its load-bearing capacity.
In order to increase the load capacity of the chipboard shelve, metal braces are used. They are made of profiled tubes with special brackets at each end. The shelves are placed on braces, which in turn are placed on the cross beams of the shelf rack. The metal elements act as stiffening ribs that prevent the chipboards from bending under the weight of the stored materials.
This design increases the load-bearing capacity of the shelves, which makes it possible to store products and raw materials more densely in the available space. Thus, the use of chipboard elements ensures improved efficiency of the entire warehouse.
The obvious advantage of these plates is their affordable cost. However, chipboard shelves are not suitable for outdoor areas. This material absorbs too much water. This means that when exposed to precipitation, its density and durability is reduced, making further use impossible. For such conditions, shelves made of galvanized steel are better suited, which is not affected by corrosion.
