Purpose
You can use conveyor systems mainly to transport palletised goods between different sites of a company: from the raw material warehouse to production, from production to the finished product warehouse, and between individual production departments. Where goods are moving along a fixed route and the number of operations is sufficiently high, conveyors allow the logistics chain to be substantially automated, minimising the involvement of staff and warehouse equipment.

Description
Pallet conveyors come in two basic types – roller conveyors and chain conveyors. Roller conveyors are divided into driven and non-driven (gravity conveyors).
In roller conveyors, the pallet is guided in such a way that the pallet's skid rests directly on a group of rollers. Moving along the chain conveyor involves turning the pallet by 90 ° that is moving forward with the long side. This is necessary to fix the pallet on the chain axis securely and safely; furthermore, if the runners do not rest on different edges of the guides, the pallet may break, resulting in an emergency and damage to the goods.
Each type of conveyor finds its own application, even within a single project. This is because in most cases the cargo route does not consist of a single line, but is more complex, with one or more turns. In order to avoid having to turn a pallet at an intersection and then return the turning module to its original position, a different type of conveyor is usually installed when making a 90° turn. This significantly improves the performance of the entire system.
Gravity roller conveyors are often used as buffer stores in the unloading area. Guiding rails set at an angle of up to 7° allow the pallet to be transported automatically into the unloading area. When the end pallet is removed from the channel, all other pallets move one position forward.
The accumulation roller conveyors have a very important function: they allow operators who bring pallets from the storage area to set cargo in a fixed place, i.e. the loading area of the roller conveyor. Forklift operators who move these pallets into the trucks will also be able to pick them up from the same position. This speeds up the work considerably, as staff do not have to make unnecessary manoeuvres to rearrange and find the pallets they need.
