Purpose
A multi-storey structure (mezzanine) allows you to use the entire height of the warehouse in the case of manual cargo handling. For comfortable work with the shelf racking, the height of the upper shelf should not exceed 1800-2000 mm. By dividing the space by storeys with a height of 2200-2500 mm, it is possible to achieve convenient work with cargo, using the entire available height of the premise as much as possible. Mezzanines can consist of shelving or pallet racks and be designed for loads between 100 and 400 kg/m².

Description
Most modern warehouses have a ceiling height of at least 6 meters. At the same time, many businesses do not operate with pallet norms that are handled with the help of equipment but have to work manually with small boxes or piece products. A mezzanine is the only way to ensure convenient and safe racking, using as much warehouse capacity as possible.
Since all types of mezzanines are made up of standard modules and elements, almost any used structure can be adapted to new conditions. Although this requires additional accessories and some tricks.
When buying a used mezzanine, in addition to the quality of the racking elements, you should pay great attention to assessing the condition of the shelves and flooring, especially if they are wooden (chipboard, OSB, MDF). There are many unheated and damp warehouses in Ukraine where wooden components deteriorate over time.
Buying used multi-storey racking requires a thorough inspection, defect survey, an inventory of elements and competent design in a new area. Despite the complexity of all the work, you can make considerable savings in the case of a large mezzanine area, as this equipment is not cheap.
