Description
Pallet and box lifts are used for lifting of single-piece cargo to the upper tiers of racks and other warehouse structures. You can use them in almost any industry, including the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Lifts have a vertical design with chain or roller drive. A cargo is placed on a special platform. Its structure depends on the purpose. For example, pallet platforms are used for lifting pallets with cargo, while platforms with flat surface and special roller units are used for boxes and crates, allowing the goods to be conveyed to the shuttles for further placement.
The lifting height can be up to 8 meters. This makes the most efficient use of warehouse space with rack heights of up to six or seven tiers.
Goods can be placed on the load platform either using manually operated forklifts or using autonomous vehicles. It is also better to distribute cargo on the upper tiers using automatic shuttles. Another option is the installation of gravity racks.
The installation of a pallet or box lift would be one of the key elements of warehouse automation. By integrating such a device with other automated cargo handling equipment, we can optimise warehouse processes maximally. Moreover, with a proper setting of all routes, the handling of incoming cargo and outgoing orders can be carried out in a fully autonomous mode, even outside working hours (e.g. at night).
