Purpose

Description
Mast lifts have a rather complex design compared to lift tables. This is primarily due to the tasks assigned to this type of equipment.
The main component of this structure is the load-bearing cantilever. It is located on a support platform and is equipped with special guide rails. They are needed to prevent the cargo platform from jamming or moving incorrectly. This is especially important when using the lift in large machine-building and manufacturing enterprises. The fact is that powerful and massive equipment causes increased vibrations, and without guide rails, the lift will quickly fail due to the constant looseness between parts.
The load-bearing mast is fixed on the base of the lift. Usually, it is also placed in a pit. This is necessary to ensure a minimum height difference between the floor of the room and the surface of the cargo platform.
There is a hydraulic cylinder inside the cantilever. When the mechanism is actuated, it lifts the pulleys, which transmit force to the cable and thereby lift the cargo platform to the desired height. The automatic control unit controls the operation of the hydraulic pump.
The cargo platform is connected to lifting cables so that it is located parallel to the horizon and perpendicular to the vertical mast. For this purpose, it is equipped with guides and supports that do not allow the surface to deviate from the initial structure. In addition, there is a remote control on it, that allows you to control the height of the platform. There are buttons on each storey to call the platform.
In addition, the platform is necessarily equipped with handrails and leaves. It is a safety requirement. These fences prevent people and valuables from falling from height.
Thanks to their compact design, such lifts are used not only in industrial and warehouse premises but in transport terminals. In addition, some owners of private homes install such lifts for ease of movement, for example, if the family has a person with disabilities and uses a wheelchair. Usually, in such cases, the lift is additionally decorated so that it fits seamlessly into the surrounding interior.
