Purpose
Loading dock tables have a rugged construction, which is ideal for use in loading and unloading stations, including outdoor applications. The scissor mechanism made of high-strength structural steel allows using these units for lifting heavy electric, petrol and diesel-powered machinery with a total weight of up to 10 tonnes to the desired height. Electric controls are additionally protected against water, dust and dirt, which makes these lift tables suitable for outdoor storage and transport facilities.

Description
Loading dock tables differ from classic ones primarily by their reinforced frame and the advanced protection of electrical and hydraulic components. This is achieved by using high-strength structural steel. Similar alloys are used in machines and mechanisms whose operation implies serious and constant strain on the material.
Besides, the electrohydraulic unit has an IP54 degree of protection (under IEC 60529 and DIN 40050). This means that when the lift table is installed in an open area, the possibility of the unit failing due to water penetrating the housing is drastically reduced. However, dock tables must be installed in an area protected against waterlogging, e.g. on natural or artificial hills. Besides, the internal electrical components are reliably protected against dust (only enclosed devices, such as computer hard drives, are more dust-proof).
Another difference between dock tables and classic lifts is the presence of railings and folding ramps. The first ones ensure the safety of people and the safety of material values during loading and unloading. The loading ramp, on the other hand, allows hand and electric trolleys as well as forklifts to enter the wagon, container or lorry.
In other aspects, dock and standard lift tables have a similar design. The principle is also the same: An electronically controlled hydraulic unit affects the central axis of the scissor mechanism. This changes the angle of the crisscrossing beams so that the upper platform is lifted to the correct height.
