Purpose
Narrow aisle trucks make it possible to get the maximum from the selective row racks. Installed at a distance of 1450-1600 mm, narrow aisle racks provide 60-65% storage utilisation while maintaining quick access to any pallet in the warehouse.
An additional interesting feature of these racks is that an operator can safely lift in a narrow aisle truck and select the required goods in the upper tiers, without spending time on lowering the pallet down.

Description
Narrow aisle racking is conventional pallet racking installed at a minimum distance from each other. Specialized narrow aisle trucks can work in the 1450-1600 mm corridor. This corridor is 2 times less than necessary for conventional reach trucks. Thus, you can achieve the maximum storage density.
For convenience and safe movement of equipment in narrow corridors, it is possible to install metal longitudinal bumpers, which in combination with the side guide wheels of the narrow aisle truck provide fast and smooth movement along the rack.
An alternative, but more expensive solution, is to install an induction cable built into the floor in the centre of the aisle. When entering the aisle, the narrow aisle truck is automatically fixed along the central axis and further movement forward and backwards between the racks can occur without steering correction, it is enough only to choose the direction.
Narrow aisle racking is an excellent solution in cases where manual processing of goods is necessary, but the turnover of the warehouse is not very high. A high warehouse will allow you to use the potential of such racks to the maximum.
