Purpose
Drive-in pallet racking is suitable for small ranges and reaches its full potential in lot goods dispatch when all or most of the goods in the channel are unloaded. The LIFO principle is most often applied, although the FIFO is also possible.
Drive-in pallet racking provides maximum storage utilisation, which at a relatively low price makes them the most popular solution for low-temperature warehouses in Ukraine.

Description
Sklad Service mainly works with used racks of good quality. Before selling the racks, the company's specialists carry out a thorough inspection of all elements to make sure there is no damage and corrosion. We reject broken struts and traverses, so there is no need to worry about the safety of using used racks.
Drive-in pallet racking forms channels in which pallets are placed very tightly to each other on special guides along with the entire depth of the rack. The pallets are positioned perpendicular to the loading axis with their long sides, which imposes certain requirements on the type of equipment: only forklifts or reach trucks can load the pallets into the channel.
These racks are processed mainly according to the LIFO (last-in, first-out) principle when the last pallet loaded into the channel will be unloaded first. In this case, the racking unit can be installed either under the wall or be double-sided. The FIFO (first-in, first-out) operation is also possible by making the channels completely free of ties by placing them in the technological false channels. In this case, the pallet loaded first will also be unloaded first from the opposite zone.
Besides, since the width of the channel between the guides is only 1050 mm, the warehouse equipment must be of a narrowed cab design to fit and manoeuvre safely in the rack channel.
Drive-in pallet racking is probably the second most popular product from the category of warehouse racks in Ukraine, after the classic selective racks, especially for refrigerating and freezing warehouses. They make it possible to use the maximum warehouse capacity. At the same time, their cost is much more affordable than alternatives (gravity, mobile, shuttle systems)
However, they also have certain limitations. Unlike selective racks, drive-in pallet racking cannot provide access to any pallet at any given time. Besides, there are risks associated with deep racks, where the forklift or reach truck operator must constantly manoeuvre within the structure, where hitting any part of the structure could cause a serious accident. Of course, guide bumpers underneath minimise the risk of damage to the rack, but this is not a panacea and you have to be very careful, which in turn reduces the processing speed of these racks.
Finding used drive-in pallet racking to suit your requirements is more difficult than selective systems. This is because the design of the drive-in pallet racking is blocky, due to the geometry of the premise and it is more difficult to upgrade it to a different depth. These options are available, but they are much more limited than those of row pallet racking are.
