Description
The platform on columns serves as an ideal solution in cases when the lower 3-4 meters of the warehouse are already occupied by equipment or they need to be left free for other operations, while there is an unused premise height. Since the platform supports are spaced between 4 and 6 metres apart, they do not cause any major inconvenience for warehouse equipment manoeuvring. The ability to produce structural elements according to individual sizes allows you to adapt the platform to a premise of any shape, thereby maximizing storage utilisation.
The main supporting elements of the platform are columns and horizontal cross-beams, which support the floor slab. You can select the profiles of the columns and cross beams as well as their spacing according to the required loads.
The floor slab for the platform is made of metal lattice panels or 30-38 mm MDF sheets. The permissible load per square meter of the floor can be up to 1 000 kg/m², allowing storage of not very heavy goods, on the floor or shelf racking, organising an office space or work stations for staff (sorting, packing).
A ladder provides access to the platform, while cargo can be lifted using warehouse equipment, a lifting table or a freight lift. The perimeter of the structure is fitted with 1 100 mm high safety railings, which reliably protect staff from accidental falling.
The undisputed advantage of the column platform over the classic mezzanine is the greater flexibility in the use of space on each storey.
