Purpose
Counterbalanced stackers are quite an effective alternative to reach trucks. This is especially the case when good flows are not too high, but the functionality of a classic stacker is not sufficient for all warehouse tasks. This type of machine does not have the forward-facing support legs that, with a classic stacker, have to go under the bottom pallet (if you need to remove the top pallet). You can use the counterbalanced model for Drive-in racks and in other cases.

Description
The counterbalanced stacker has an oblong profile compared to standard models. This reduces manoeuvrability, but at the same time allows you to shift the centre of gravity, which ultimately provides a load capacity of up to 1 500 kg. At the same time, the lifting height can be 5 m. The stacker can also be equipped with a 2- or 3-section mast, as on some reach truck models. This makes the stacker easier to use and speeds up pallet removal and positioning. As with conventional stackers, there is standing space for an operator. This means that the stackers are not designed for continuous operation for a long time.
A mast tilt mechanism is available as an option, allowing the mast to be tilted for moving break-bulk cargo. This feature is rarely found in standard stackers. Another feature is a system of automatic slowdown when turning, which has a positive effect on staff safety as well as minimises the risk of property damage. The stacker can also be equipped with a three-section mast, which makes it possible to work in containers or wagons. There is also the option of mounting attachments such as cradles for safe lifting of staff to the required height.
The models are equipped with wheels with polyurethane tyres. This ensures a minimum noise level, which is critically important when working indoors. In addition, such tyres increase the mobility and controllability of the mechanism. Optionally rubber tyred wheels are available to provide smoother movement on uneven surfaces. These tyres also have anti-vibration properties due to material softness. At the same time, they can leave marks on the floor when making sudden changes in the movement direction.
The only disadvantage is the width of the working aisle (3200 mm), which corresponds to a similar parameter of a standard forklift. At the same time, the counterbalanced stacker is very versatile and can handle complex structures such as drive-in racks, which are often used to stock goods of one item. It would be ideal for quickly handling, moving and stacking out-of-gauge or unpalletised goods.
