Purpose

Description
The bearing element of the rack is 30x30 mm L-shaped struts (corners), perforated along with the entire height at a pitch of 38 mm. The shelf consists of flooring and four support braces that securely connect all the struts of one section of the rack with two hooks at each attachment point. As with most modern racks, it is possible to rearrange the height of the shelves during use, reducing or adding storage tiers as long as the permissible loads are not exceeded.
A solid metal sheet (galvanized or painted with powder paint) or a wood slab (10-18 mm chipboard/OSB) can serve as a shelf. In the case of extreme loads, and to give the structure maximum strength, it is possible to install additional cross-braces to support the shelf in the centre.
When installing racks in a long row, adjacent sections are bolted together at several points along with the height. This makes the whole system more monolithic and helps to resist rolls in the future.
The maximum height of the “Constructor" rack strut can reach 3000 mm. At the same time, it can be either solid or consist of two parts, if there is a need to make the components as compact as possible for relocation or modernization.
To protect the soft floor of the premises from possible damage by the edges of the struts, as well as to protect the struts from corrosion, plastic supports are used.
When planning the storage utilisation with Constructor racks, please note that the support slat takes up 60 mm, and correspondingly more when using a 16/18 mm chipboard shelf. Multiplying these distances by the number of shelves makes it easy to calculate how much workspace will not be used. However, this is only relevant if you use the rack to store large boxes, as you can usually place smaller items around this obstacle.
If this factor is important enough, we recommend paying attention to Smart racks. They do not have this disadvantage and in most cases are even cheaper. At the same time, the indisputable advantage of Constructor racks is that they can be customised in a larger range of sizes.
