Description
Modula horizontal carousel systems are a horizontal structure with automatically controlled movable elements. It consists of a series of containers that move along stainless steel rails and deliver ready-to-complete products. The movement is carried out directly to the operator in full compliance with goods-to-person principle.
The package includes:
- An automatic door;
- 2.4 m high perimeter fence with safety door and locking elements.
Horizontal carousels can be used in groups, commonly referred to as "bases", to increase productivity. Different base configurations of two, three or four carousels are available.
While the operator conducts picking from one carousel inside the base, the other carousels rotate and prepare the cargo for subsequent picking. This minimises operator downtime, exponentially increasing productivity. Each picking station is capable of handling up to 550 operations per hour.
The design of Modula horizontal carousel systems makes it possible to use them effectively in finished goods warehouses, as well as at wholesale and retail trade enterprises. This will be particularly useful in the case of a large warehousing complex, for example, which sells goods online and delivers them to the client's address.
