Purpose
A multi-storey structure based on shelf racking is an excellent solution for storing small goods, where individual bins are needed for each SKU. Since the dimensions of rack profiles are minimal, the useful height of the warehouse in this case is used by 85-90%.
The use of a mezzanine in a high premise allows you to significantly increase the capacity of the warehouse (depending on the number of storeys) or optimize the area to save on rent. Therefore, investments in this equipment will be paid off very quickly.

Description
Stow Shelf racking is compact equipment that allows you to maximize the storage utilisation for storing goods. The profile of struts and shelves has the smallest possible dimensions, ensuring sufficient rigidity and reliability of the structure. The width of the pallet rack strut is only 40 mm; the shelf height is a maximum of 25 mm. This is why a mezzanine based on these racks utilises the warehouse capacity to the maximum.
Storage of small items such as car parts, electronics, pharmaceuticals etc. requires numerous shelves. Therefore, the design of the profiles will strongly influence the number of goods that the rack can accommodate.
Besides, very often the above groups of goods are stored in small volumes. Dividers, limiters and other options help to store products even more efficiently. The perforation of the strut at a pitch of 35 mm allows you to adapt each shelf to the required height, avoiding unnecessary stocks.
The shelves are made of solid galvanised panels with several stiffening ribs; you can remove and install them at another level easily.
The floorboard is available in two versions: lattice metal or solid made of 30-38 mm MDF panels. Regardless of the floor covering, the load-bearing capacity of the floor is up to 350 kg/m², which is sufficient for safe work on the rack.
Each of the variants described above has advantages and disadvantages. A metal board is more heat-resistant and admits light through from the upper storeys to the floor. The disadvantage of this board is that it is less comfortable for picking trolleys to move through the cellular structure and that rubbish or even small items can fall to the bottom tier. A solid wooden board is a more suitable option for storage trolleys, but special impregnation and in some cases more complex approvals from a fire department will be required to ensure fire safety.
Staff can go to the upper storeys of the mezzanine by stairs. Cargos, if there are a lot of them, can be lowered by warehouse equipment, having previously placed them on a pallet. It is also possible to integrate a conveyor system or a freight lift into the mezzanine. The feasibility of one or the other should be decided according to the intensity of work, transportation volume, requirements for fault tolerance and desired degree of process automation.
Mezzanine lighting can be made according to the customer's wishes regarding the amount of light, it can be switched on for entire storeys or rows, work continuously or be activated by motion sensors.
